‘2 points, 6 rebounds’ Yang struggles from the field in opener…Sendai falls to the Spurs

Neither Jae-min Yang nor Sendai could smile.

The Sendai 89ERS dropped a 68-72, four-point decision to the Yokohama B-Corsairs in the opening game of the 2024-2025 B.League season on Friday at Kamei Arena in Sendai, Japan. Despite a double-double from Nathan Booth (16 points, 3 rebounds), Sendai was held to 37% (27-of-73) 토토사이트 shooting from the field.

Yang Jae-min, who came off the bench, was also disappointing. He played 24 minutes and 16 seconds, scoring two points, grabbing six rebounds, and dishing out one assist. Although he was active in rebounding, he shot just 20% (1-of-5) from the field, including missing all three of his three-point attempts.

Yang first stepped on the court as a substitute midway through the first quarter with Sendai tied 8-8. Yang grabbed an offensive rebound shortly after entering the game, but his subsequent three-point attempt missed the rim.

In the middle of the second quarter, Yang came off the bench to assist Cristiano Felicio on a layup and then grabbed back-to-back defensive rebounds. With Sendai trailing 42-39 with 52 seconds left in the second quarter, he broke through and scored his first points of the season.

However, it would be Yang’s first and last points of the game. Yang continued to actively rebound and contribute to the offense, but his three-point attempts were unsuccessful.

Sendai was not smiling either. Sendai seemed to get a breather with a five-point lead with just over three minutes to go in the fourth quarter, but a sharp defensive lapse allowed Yokohama, led by Gary Clark, to pull away. Sendai closed the gap to two points on a Yasunori Aoki layup with 46 seconds left in the game, but were unable to regain the lead.
