NC DINOS SIGN EX-MLB PITCHER HART

The NC Dinos announced their signing of former major league pitcher Kyle Hart on Tuesday. Hart, 31, has agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $900,000. The left-hander will make $500,000 in salary, as well as a signing bonus of $200,000. He can make another $200,000 in incentives.

Hart was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 19th round in 2016 and made his big league debut with the team in 2020. Hart went 0-1 with a 15.55 ERA in four appearances, including three starts, covering 11 innings .He spent the 2023 season in Triple-A, split between affiliates for the Philadelphia Phillies and the Seattle Mariners. He went 4-6 with a 4.53 ERA in 19 outings, with 86 strikeouts and 35 walks in 89 1/3 innings.

The Dinos signed left-hander Daniel Castano, also a 19th-round pick in 2016, last Wednesday.
