Munich postpones Union Berlin game due to heavy snow…

Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga match against Union Berlin has been postponed due to heavy snowfall in Berlin, Germany, giving Kim Min-jae an unexpected extra rest.

“Due to the heavy snowfall overnight, we are postponing our home game against Union Berlin, which was scheduled to take place today,” Munich announced on its official website on Feb. 2 (KST).

The Bavarians were originally scheduled to play their 2023-2024 Bundesliga Round 13 home match against Union Berlin at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany, this afternoon.

“The snow is not expected to stop until tonight,” the club said, adding, “Due to safety concerns and traffic difficulties, we are forced to cancel. Snow falling from the Allianz Arena roof could endanger spectators.”

The postponed Round 13 matches will be rescheduled at a later date.

Meanwhile, the removal of the game from the schedule gives Kim Min-jae, who has been the subject of some controversy in recent days, some much-needed rest.

Excluding the DFB Pokal first-round match, Kim has played 24 games for Munich this season, including 12 Bundesliga regular season matches, 18 matches including four in the UCL, and six A matches, mostly full-time.

Kim Min-jae, who did not play in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) fifth leg against Copenhagen on March 30 due to a hip bruise, will be rested for 10 days until the Bundesliga 14th round home match against Eintracht Frankfurt on April 9. 토토
