BNK tops Shinhan Bank for first win in women’s basketball

Busan BNK picked up its first win of the season, led by a 25-point, 12-rebound performance from Jin-an.

BNK defeated Incheon Shinhan Bank 76-71 in a tightly contested away game in the Woori Bank Woori WON 2023-2024 Women’s Professional Basketball League regular season at Dowon Gymnasium in Incheon on Tuesday.

BNK, which lost 70-74 to defending champion Asan Woori Bank in its opening game on Nov. 5, immediately registered its first win in its next game.

Shinhan Bank, on the other hand, got off to a disappointing start with back-to-back losses, falling 57-82 to Cheongju KB on Nov. 8.

Jin An led the way for BNK, scoring 25 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.

Despite missing five of six free throws, Jinan was focused from the floor, hitting 12 of 16 shots.

Point guard Ahn Hye-ji also recorded a double-double alongside Jinan with 12 points and 14 assists.

Shooter Lee So-hee contributed 19 points from beyond the arc, including five 3-pointers.

Shinhan Bank was led by ace Kim Sonia with 19 points.

Kim Tae-yeon and Lee Da-yeon supported her with 18 and 15 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome BNK.

Shinhan Bank, which led 59-53 at the start of the fourth quarter, cried over its lack of heart.

Lee So-hee hit a matching 3-pointer, and Jin An scored three straight baskets to help BNK tie the game at 62-62 with 6:32 left in regulation.

Lee hit a 3-pointer to make it 72-67 with three minutes to go and then calmly sank the final free throw to seal the game. 슬롯
