South Korean baseball All-Star Kim Hye-seong, expected to be posted for Major League Baseball (MLB) clubs after this season, signed with an American sports agency Monday.

Kim, second baseman for the Kiwoom Heroes of the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO), joined Creative Artists Agency (CAA). CAA’s clientele includes two-time American League MVP Shohei Ohtani.

The company also represents South Korean football star Son Heung-min.

Kim met with CAA representatives at a signing ceremony held in a Seoul hotel Monday, with Mike Nikeas, an agent for the company, and Kevin Jang, head of CAA Stellar Korea, on hand.

The Heroes announced in January that they will make Kim, 25, available for MLB clubs through the posting system after the 2024 season. KBO players must complete at least seven full seasons 토토 to be eligible for posting, in which interested MLB teams can negotiate with players during a 30-day window.

Before Kim, shortstop Kang Jung-ho, first baseman Park Byung-ho, shortstop Kim Ha-seong and outfielder Lee Jung-hoo left the Heroes for MLB via posting in recent years.

In 50 games this season, Kim Hye-seong is batting .309/.361/.398 with a career-high eight home runs, 31 RBIs and 15 steals.

Not known for power, Kim has made a career out of hitting for high average and playing excellent defense.
