The United States, Europe, and other countries around the world are groaning under a heat wave.

In Phoenix, Arizona, USA, the high temperature hit 43 degrees Celsius for the 19th consecutive day, as the heat dome that traps hot air continues, and more than 10 people have died from heat illness.

In Europe, Rome, Italy, recorded a high of 41.8 degrees, the highest temperature on record.

Vulnerable populations are facing the most extreme conditions in the ongoing heat wave.

Vulnerable people living in poorly air-conditioned housing and homeless people who spend their days on the streets are at risk of heat stroke and other heat-related illnesses.
