K League 2 Bucheon suspended for ‘throwing foreign objects’, supporters’ seats closed for 2 games


Professional soccer’s K League 2 (2nd Division) Bucheon FC has been disciplined to close some of its stands for two games for throwing foreign objects on the ground by supporters.

The Korea Professional Football League said on the 17th, “Yesterday, the 20th Punishment Committee held its 20th meeting and handed down a sanction of 5 million won ($5,000) and the closure of supporters’ seats for two games to 스포츠토토사이트 Bucheon FC.”

The KFA also imposed a sanction of 1.5 million won on Lee Hansam of Chungbuk Cheongju FC for unsportsmanlike behavior toward the Bucheon home crowd.

The clash between players and fans occurred during the K League 2 34th round match between Bucheon and Chungbuk Cheongju at Bucheon Sports Complex on May 5.

After the game, Lee went to help Chungbuk Cheongju goalkeeper Jung Jin-wook, who had fallen to the ground, and was shouted at by Bucheon supporters.

Lee got into a violent confrontation with Bucheon supporters, some of whom threw ice and other foreign objects onto the field.

A Chungbuk Cheongju staff member who tried to restrain them was hit by a foreign object.
